QUEER NATURE WALK
THURSDAY 24TH JULY 2025 @ 6:00 - 8:00 PM - with CONNOR BUTLER at WESTLANDS ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE Yeovil, Somerset.
Connor the Ecologist is a freelance entomologist (i.e. bug specialist!!!!) and educator with a decade of experience connecting people with the natural world. He is the former Head of Learning at London’s oldest botanic garden and has also been studying dung beetles in London’s parks. To date, Connor has encouraged over 10,000 people to take time to appreciate the smallest details in nature and to show love for the often unloved species on our planet.
Accessible Walk with Yeovil Diversity Project:
Join Connor on a guided nature walk in the local area of Westlands Entertainment Centre, Yeovil.
We'll explore the often unseen and under-celebrated queer nature on our doorstep, particularly looking for the weird and wonderful queer insects whom inhabit our towns with us. 🕷🐞🐝🐛🦋🐌🕸
This gentle walk invites all curious minds interested in seeing nature from a new perspective. You’ll learn how to identify different species, and gain a new fascination with the natural world on your doorstep. 👀
Age recommendation: 16+
(anyone under 18 attending should be accompanied by someone 18+)

Queer Nature Club South West is a programme of walks and workshops by and for the LGBTQIA+ community in South West England between July & November 2025, organised by Social Material CIC. It is supported by the John Lewis Partnership Foundation.
