We are hiring two minibuses to drive from Category Is Books in Glasgow to the camp - which is held at Meggernie Scout Camp. We are decentralised in our organising and encourage folx from other parts of Scotland (or further afield) to coordinate locally and support each other's transport. If you need or can offer a lift, please use this document to find each other.
The minibus will leave at 11am sharp from Category Is Books, to arrive at the camp at around 2pm on Friday 29th August. It will leave the camp at 3pm on Sunday 31st August to arrive back in Glasgow at around 6pm.
Unfortunately the minibuses do not have step-free access and are not wheelchair accessible. If the bus in inaccessible to you please get in touch (camptransscotland@gmail.com) and we will try to put you in touch with someone driving to camp who may be able to take you.
The minibus hire is £900 which we need to be able to cover so we are dividing that amount by the seats available (30 seats) which equals £30 for transport to and from the camp. We understand that £30 may seem like a lot, but this is for a six hour round trip, and please remember that folk who are not coming by minibus will also be having to pay to get to the campsite.
We will have a very limited amount of pay what you can tickets available. Please consider deeply whether you need to take one of these. They are intended for people who wouldn't be able to afford to come to the camp without them being available.
