In The Dark: Hidden Sounds with Alice Boyd
What could we hear if we really paid attention?
Join Alice Boyd for a selection of creative audio around hidden sounds — documentaries, sound art, radio drama and more surrounding all of the noises we aren’t meant to hear. Or sometimes, the sounds we aren’t allowed to hear. From nature’s secret frequencies to the mind’s imagined compositions, from lost worlds to times past, Alice will invite a closer listen…
Alice is a musician, sound artist and audio producer based in South London. Blending folk-inspired harmonies, ambient electronic textures and immersive field recordings, her work explores our interconnectedness with the natural world and reveals the hidden sounds of our environments. As part of her curation for In The Dark she will be presenting a live performance piece.
