Lying Down / Verbally Communicated Guided Meditation in English
Accessibility accommodations: If lying down isn’t comfortable, please feel free to sit or find a position that works for you. The workshop is in English with guided meditation, but a written version can be provided if needed. During Dharma sharing, take the time to tune into what you feel comfortable sharing—this is a communal healing space, different from one-on-one therapy, so please seek professional support if needed.
Facilitator's bio:Shini Meyer Wang (any pronouns) is a teacher of film studies and drama at Grey Coat Hospital. Their curiosity towards shared embodied practices that support individual and collective healing grew from following the simple mindfulness teachings of Vietnamese monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh, practicing within the Plum Village tradition. Shini also takes inspiration from Tanztheater—a form of dance-theatre that explores what moves us—creating a dignified and silly space to play in the full spectrum of human emotion.
