HYPNOTISE LIKE BIGGIE
HIPS DON'T LIE LIKE IZZY
– QDie
To celebrate QDie's first 40,000 streams (and Virgo season!), we're spoiling you with a HYPNOTIC night of DJs, ending with an iconic Kronik Plezja set and featuring an exclusive early preview of QDie's next release: The Snake Charmer - Hypnosis Remix.
All DJs have been selected for their dedication to the craft, love of music and energy, NOT the size of their social media presence or the theatrics they capture to build it.
We have a limited number of free tickets for trans women and transfeminine people of colour and discounts for both QTIPOC and people of colour on low/no income or in precarious employment. If you can't make it but want to help us cover our costs or even create opportunities like this in the future for emerging DJs to get their name out, please select the “wish I was there” ticket option to make a donation. Any sized contribution is welcome and greatly appreciated. <3
The theme for the night is Hypnosis. Start getting those outfits together… ;)
This is a rave. The mission is to dance. The outcome is sweat.
Music lovers will be at home.
The vibes:
- This is an event centring the experience of trans women of colour firstly, and LGBTQI+ Black people and people of colour more broadly. All are welcome but if this is not you, please be respectful of the culture(s) we practice and be comfortable with NOT being centred, celebrated or accommodated tonight.
- NO requests to the DJ or to emcee if you're not already on the line up. You don't wanna embarrass yourself.
- Dance and enjoy the music however you can. Please take breaks as needed but come back inside when ready and support the DJs and emcees who have prepped to give you a night to remember. :)
- DO NOT pressure anyone to drink or take any drugs. We all have our own ways of enjoying our nights.
- Be supportive. That means show love to the DJs and emcees and look out for each other on the dancefloor. If someone looks lost, confused or distraught, please check on them, especially if they're alone.
- Please feel free to capture memories with photos or videos BUT make sure you're actually making those memories by dancing and enjoying yourself AND seek consent before taking or posting photos/videos of strangers;
- ZERO tolerance for sexual/gender-based violence/harassment, stalking, drinks spiking.
- ZERO tolerance to all forms of oppressive/hateful speech or behaviours. That means anti-LGBTIQ+, patriarchal, xenophobic, racist, ableist or fetishising comments or behaviour is strictly NOT welcome.
- NO fascist/imperialist/racist symbols, flags or insignia are welcome unless they're an obvious subversion of them.
- DO NOT attempt to move a wheelchair user without their consent. If you cannot recognise people's humanity then this event is not for you.
- Respect the venue and all members of staff. That means no littering or causing damage.
- Please contact one of us if any of the above is not being respected.
