The RVT is thrilled to welcome Marc Burrows and his hit show The Magic of Terry Pratchett to the iconic venue for a special charity fundraising night.
Join author and comedian Marc Burrows on a journey through the life and work of Sir Terry Pratchett, based on his Locus Award-winning biography and officially endorsed by the author’s estate. Explore Pratchett’s life, influences, impact, wit and wisdom, from his days as a school librarian to his time as a trainee journalist to his untimely death from Alzheimers in 2015.
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Discworld and discover the joy, anger, and delicious cock‘n’ bull stories of one of the greatest storytellers of all time. Warning: includes bad puns and unnecessary footnotes*
The show is a hugely entertaining exploration of the work of this much loved and missed author, ideal for the dedicated fan or those new to Sir Terry's work.
The evening will include Marc performing the entire Magic of Terry Pratchett show, plus there will be an on stage interview and audience Q&A with Marc.
Money from tickets and money raised on the night, will be split between Cabaret vs Cancer, raising money to help people affected by cancer and and Not a Phase, uplifting and improving the lives of trans+ adults.
The night is also the launch event for the CvC online Big Book Auction.
Doors at 7pm, show from 8pm
