It's the Gold and Silver Sequel you've all been waiting for..
Bonk and Mocha are back for the Mega Evolution of the worlds cuntiest Pokemon Drag show (Kanto she Better Don't)! Welcome to Johto She Didn't! Join your hosts as we race you all the way from New Bark Town to Blackthorn City on the back of Suicune with her new tramp stamp..
Johto may have Queer icons all over the map like Claire and Whitney, but we have your favourite Drag stars bringing all kinds of camp magic to your favourite Pokemon! Drag Race UK stars Dakota Schiffer and Tayris Mongardi will be tearing up the stage and setting it alight faster than Ho-oh did to the burned tower. Keep your eyes peeled for other guests.. It would be the Kimono Girls, but unfortunately their booking fee is too high.
Fire up your pokenavs and lime bike down as fast as possible to the Divine for a touch of nostalgia, outlandish Drag, games and maybe even a Pokemon card or two (idk my collection is expensive). Bonk and Mocha are ready to be the very best like no one EVER was and give you the Drag Show of your dreams! It's not to be missed.
See you there nerds!
ACCESS
Sadly, The Divine is currently not fully accessible. The new venue offers great opportunities to house most of our events but currently it is in need of some accessibility improvements, and we are actively working with consultants to ascertain what is needed and will be beginning a plan to upgrade accessibility as soon as we are up and running.
We will be keeping our community up to date on progress via this site and our social media channels.
Wheelchair Access
The Ground floor bar is at street level and there are no steps to enter and the main door is wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. The pavement outside The Divine is wide and spacious enough for drop offs and pick-ups.
Toilets
There are no toilets on the ground floor, they are all on the lower level. The nearest wheelchair accessible toilet is at Nandos, approximately 2 minutes down the road at 148 Kingsland High Street. Nandos closes at 10pm Sunday – Thursday and 11pm at the weekend.
There are 2 sets of gender-neutral toilets on the lower level; one has 5 cubicles and the other has 3 urinals and 1 cubicle. Currently none are wheelchair accessible.
Stairs to the basement floor
There are 17 wide steps with slip resistant treads down to the lower level with sturdy handrails either side.
Basement Stage Access & Basement Bar
Once in the basement, there are two steps up to the stage. There is a small slope from the bar area to the seating and dance area.
Contact
If you require further information or need to secure seating etc please email in advance: info@thedivine.co.uk
We will do our very best to accommodate your needs and are actively working to make our venue accessible to as many people in our community as possible.
