La Monocle's Fourth Night:
At Little Louie, 14 Ash Ave, SE17 1GQ
Saturday 27th September
6:30 PM – 12 AM
South London deserves a bar where FLINTA+* people can gather, connect, and celebrate without compromise. La Monocle is about carving out that space…. rooted in history, but made for the present. We are hosting bar evenings to fund eventually opening our own permenant space in South London, for all.
This is our fourth evening together, and we’re back at Little Louie for another night of cocktails, great wines, good music and better company. Nothing staged, nothing forced…. just a bar made ours.
Pull up, bring your friends, and be part of it.
La Monocle is a queer community bar and cultural space rooted in the values of inclusivity, empowerment, and resistance. Inspired by the historical legacy of lesbian and FLINTA* spaces, our mission is to create a safe, joyful, and affirming environment for FLINTA* (Frauen, Lesben, inter, nicht-binäre, trans und agender Personen) and lesbian individuals.
La Monocle is explicitly trans-inclusive and anti-discriminatory. We do not welcome TERFs or any exclusionary ideologies — our space is built on intersectional feminism, solidarity, and care. Our aim is to foster a community where queer people, particularly those marginalized within mainstream LGBTQ+ venues, can connect, organize, celebrate, and rest.
More than just a bar, La Monocle envisions itself as a cultural hub — hosting events, performances, readings, and discussions that centre queer and feminist voices. It is a place for both resistance and pleasure, honouring the radical history of lesbian and FLINTA* spaces while responding to the urgent needs of today’s queer communities.
We’re committed to keeping our events as accessible as possible — if you need a concession ticket, please don’t hesitate to reach out to contact@lamonocle.co.uk to speak to a member of the team. Please note that if we have tickets left on the door, they will be £6.50, so please make sure to grab your ticket soon!
*FLINTA is an acronym representing women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender individuals, emphasizing inclusivity and intersectionality within marginalized gender identities. At La Monocle, FLINTA is at the heart of our mission to create safe, celebratory spaces for these communities to connect and thrive. In South London, where diversity and grassroots activism shape the cultural fabric, embracing FLINTA embodies a commitment to equality, representation, and community-building in the face of systemic challenges. Allies are absolutely welcome, but FLINTA patrons are always prioritized. <3
