50 Years and Still Fighting for Equality
50 Years ago the Stonewall uprising lit the spark of a movement which changed the lives of millions. The same year, Scotland’s first ‘gay rights’ organisation, Scottish Minorities Group (SMG), was founded.
Join us at the Scottish Parliament as we remember and celebrate 50 years of activism, and as we look at what we still have to do to achieve LGBTI equality in Scotland.
The reception is kindly sponsored by Kezia Dugdale MSP.
The event is being held in the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 25 June, 6pm to 8pm (registration opens from 5.30pm).
It should be an enjoyable evening, with speakers, wine and refreshments and entertainment from the amazing Loud & Proud Choir.
Please register your attendance by 12 noon Tuesday 18 June. You will be asked for access, dietary and any other requirements upon registration.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event.
