LGBTQIA+ Flamenco Rumba Workshop
15th October | 18:30–20:30
Join the incredible Laura González, a versatile flamenco artist and experienced teacher, trained at the renowned Amor de Dios school in Madrid and a singer part of the flamenco-based group Identidades.
In this workshop, Laura will introduce you to the fundamentals of Flamenco Catalan rumba, with a focus on technique, rhythm, and expression. You'll begin with a warm-up and posture work, followed by basic rumba footwork, arm movements, and palmas (hand clapping).
You'll also delve into the cultural and historical roots of rumba and work on short choreographed sequences that fuse rhythm, movement, and musicality. This session is designed to build confidence, coordination, and performance presence while celebrating the joyful, expressive spirit of flamenco rumba!
