t'ART invite you to spend the evening of the 9th October with us at The Castle Cinema, and enjoy two events in one!
Join us for the launch of our first ever anthology: Between Queer Teeth which brings together poetry, short stories and creative non-fiction from the mouths of the queer and trans community.
Our contributors offer you the words stuck between their teeth, the stories (true and imagined) that have been living rent free on their tongues, the poems that are just visible when they part their lips, open their mouths wide.
And if you buy a copy with your ticket, we'll have it ready for you to collect on arrival!
We will also be hosting the Private View of our new exhibition Power in Pride which runs from 9th October - 31st October at The Castle Cinema to celebrate Black History Month and platforms the work of queer POC artists. From photography to paintings, collage to ceramics, our exhibiting artists explore the de-stigmatisation of queer sex and queer bodies, mental health within the Black diaspora, restrictive immigration policies in the UK, queer-coding within pattern, memory and fantasy, self-expression without restriction and the colour blue as a metaphor for remembering and forgetting queerness.
Exhibiting artists: An Nguyen, Chiyana Ankhrah, Ela Ertan, Kevin Bickham, Krishna Shanthi, Sapphire Oladejo & Shaven Raven Designs
