Seeds of Freedom: Black Abortion Stories Through Art and Tradition
This event is part of the Vagina Museum and Sarah Parker Remond Centres (Re)producing Justice programme. The majority of the programme is open to people of all genders and all backgrounds. Black Abortion Stories is only for Black folks with experiences with abortion.
Join us for a creative and healing workshop where Black abortion stories are honoured through storytelling and painting. Together, we will reflect on both personal and ancestral experiences, exploring herbal and plant-based practices from Black traditions that have supported abortion care across generations. This space is exclusively for Black people who have had abortions, with sharing optional and at your own pace.
