We’re heading to Kricket Brixton, the restaurant that first brought a new wave of modern Indian cooking to London. Led by Executive Chef Will Bowlby, Kricket’s food is inspired by the flavours of India and shaped by memories and travels across the subcontinent - while celebrating the best of seasonal British produce.
Expect a menu built around small plates designed for sharing, perfect for sparking conversation and passing flavours around the table. The cooking is bold and inventive: smoky dishes straight from the tandoor, crisp pakoras that crunch into soft, spiced centres, tangy chutneys that brighten rich curries, and slow-cooked meats balanced with vibrant, vegetable-led plates.
Signature flavours include the much-loved samphire pakoras with chilli garlic mayonnaise, earthy coconut and tamarind curries, and playful twists like Keralan fried chicken or goose vindaloo. Vegetables are given as much star power as meat, with dishes like cabbage thoran with mustard seeds or butternut squash simmered in a silky makhani sauce. It’s food that balances spice and comfort, familiarity and surprise.
This isn’t traditional Indian dining—it’s Kricket’s own interpretation: modern, vibrant, and made to be shared.
