Join the White Kite Collective and theatre studies academics for an evening of short plays from Gaza, exploring the power of performance to amplify Palestinian voices.
Four newly commissioned works by Gazan writers will be performed by members of the White Kite Collective, a group of artists and culture workers formed in urgent response to the ongoing Palestinian genocide. White Kite Collective bear witness and galvanise to action through testimony, literature and collective discussion.
Following the performances, the event will include a ‘long table’ discussion, hosted by academics from the Performance and Political Economy Research Collective. During this discussion, the performers, directors and audience members will all be invited to share their ideas and reflect on theatre’s role in resistance, memory and solidarity.
This event is part of the Being Human festival 2025.
