Come Be Part of a FLOCK!
A Community Dance Happening in Govanhill Park
FLOCK invites you to a live dance poem celebrating our connection to Govanhill, nature, and each other. Inspired by the mesmerizing behavior of birds, this event explores the question: "How can a group become 'a single thought' while retaining 'a thousand voices'?"
Join us to move and create alongside a ballet dancer as we transform the park into a pop up stage. All ages and abilities are welcome, and no prior experience is needed!
Here’s how to get involved:
- FLOCK Workshop (11:00 AM - 12:15 PM): Enjoy a playful session of movement, words, and mark-making, exploring ideas about birds and community.
- Performance (12:30 PM - 12:50 PM): Step into the performance and help us create a beautiful temporary artwork—a beautiful visual poem unfolding in the park among local bird flocks.
