Cheers to the Year is the perfect opportunity to revel in queer joy and party the night away surrounded by your sapphic community.
What to expect
Our evening will kick off with a relaxed social hour from 7pm, perfect for meeting new faces and catching up with familiar ones. If you’re coming solo, we’ll have some fun ice breakers to help you get to know each other before the party starts.
From 8pm, we’ll turn up the energy with the incredible DJ Ems who’ll be treating us with the ultimate queer bops and anthems to dance the night away to. Cheeeeers!

Who’s it for?
This event is for LGBTQIA+ women, trans and non-binary people. We welcome anyone who identifies with the term sapphic and we are proud to be trans-inclusive.
About the venue - Mettricks (Guildhall, Southampton)
With it’s super cool industrial aesthetics, Mettricks is the perfect spot for us to connect and celebrate the year together. Located in the city centre, Mettricks is a 10 minute walk from Southampton Central Train Station. There are heaps of buses nearby - your best bet is Google maps or the Bluestar or Breeze app. If you’re a regular at the Southampton Sapphic Society monthly meet up, then Mettricks is a two minute walk from our usual venue.
Accessibility
There is step free access into the venue and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor. The event will also take place on the ground floor. The space upstairs is available to use but as it opens out onto the ground floor, please be aware it is not a quiet space.
Other things to know
Tickets must be purchased in advance via OutSavvy, and will not be available on the door.
