Join South London FRFI for a day of revolutionary cinema and political discussion. These films lay bare the racist, imperialist nature of the British state and celebrate the struggles of oppressed and working class communities.

12.30pm: UprisingSteve McQueen’s powerful series on the 1981 New Cross fire and the uprisings that followed. A community turns grief into defiance against the racist British state.

Britain’s Asian communities fight back against racism and fascism in the late 70s and 80s, from Southall to the Bradford 12
3pm: Blacks BritannicaA banned 1978 documentary exposing Britain’s racist institutions, police, housing, education, and the resilience of Black communities resisting oppression.

5.30pm: Judas and the Black MessiahEarning six Oscar nominations, Judas and the Black Messiah dramatises the FBI’s campaign to suppress the Black Panther Party through the coerced betrayal of leader Fred Hampton.
