The exhibition, held as part of Fringe Folkestone, is dedicated to my reflections on life on the autism spectrum. The diagnosis largely changed my self-perception and provided an explanation for what had seemed completely unclear, as well as initiating a process of unmasking.
The exhibition contains photographs, texts, drawings and an object that offers a certain immersive experience.
It's also possible to purchase limited edition prints of the works on giclée paper. You can do it in person or online, just reach me via diniletters at gmail dot com.
It's held at Mui Folk Shop, 11-19 October, working days: Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Private view - Friday 10 October 6-8 p.m.
Admission is free, but the donation of any amount would be very welcomed, as it will help me cover the exhibition costs.
// I'm doing it on my own without any funding, because - can you imagine - turns out it's not possible for the autistic person to focus on preparing the exhibition and looking for a sponsor at the same time! Who knew. Yes, I can do irony //
Thank you very much to everyone for your support, and most importantly, please come!
Unfortunately, the gallery is located on the basement floor, with steps leading down, no lift, and is not accessible for people with wheelchairs! I'm really sorry for that.
