The Full Fatt Sound presents A FESTIVE FESTIVAL OF FESTIVITIES!
In the dark times
Will there also be singing?
Yes, there will also be singing.
About the dark times.”
- Bertolt Brecht
Join The Full Fatt Sound for an evening of contemporary choral delights as we sing out the old year and welcome the new with A Festive Festival of Festivities. Hosted by conductor Adam Carver & midland icon Ginny Lemon, we are thrilled to be joined by the wonderful Tom Rasmussen, who will be performing as a guest artist with the choir.
It might be mid-december, but this is definitely not a Christmas concert! Expect fresh takes on contemporary classics, packed with sexy harmonies, big feelings, good vibes to lift the spirits, powerful anthems to offer solidarity in the darkness.
This programme of music draws on the choir's feelings of hope, fear, celebration, grief, rage, and power. Featuring songs by Sylvester, The Scissor Sisters, Anohni, The Gossip, Doechi, Labi Siffree, Petula Clark and more, sprinkled with some secular festive cheer.
Doors open at 7pm with beats from DJ Just Soriah.
Please note the concert may include some swearing, humour, and references which might not be suitable for younger audiences.
