Digital Zine Making Workshop
In this 2 hour online workshop, graphic designer Mara Lecoiu guides participants through the fundamentals of editorial design, weaving through layout, typeface and printing in order to create the beginnings of their first digital zine using Figma. This workshop is a comprehensive opportunity to experiment with the principles of editorial design which include:
Participants will need to create a Figma account in advance of the session.
Mara Lecoiu is an experienced freelance graphic designer and zine-maker with a BA in Graphic Design. Her most recent projects include SPORT, EXTERIOR (a bilingual volume that examines how the process of designing becomes a curatorial gesture), Lithoerotics: The Mineral Calling to Maximally Passionate Disobedience (this zine hews fresh observations between girlhood and the lithic), and the ongoing EAST-WEST MAGAZINE launched in Bucharest in 2025.
