Remember Sports are back for their first UK tour in over 3 years! Performing live at the charming Dead Wax in Digbeth (Birmingham), the raw and energetic emo outfit will be joined by Durham's own power-pop 4-piece, Fortitude Valley.
Celebrating the “raw, reflective, bratty, sincere” new album The Refrigerator, we're so delighted to be bringing one of the most exciting indie-punk bands to the heart of the West Midlands. Known for hits such as Get Bummed Out and Clean Jeans, Remember Sports bring their own slice of the midwest emo scene to the westmid emo scene (good, right?)
This is an essential show for fans of cathartic and energetic singalongs, marrying emo and pop punk influences with folk and indie rock vibes, all but confirmed by the band's latest ear worm of a single, Across The Line
Joining them will be Fortitude Valley, providing a wonderful blend of sweet power-pop and charmingly messy indie-punk. Despite being the brainchild of Australian singer/songwriter Laura Kovic, the band was formed in Durham, subsequently featuring members of the legendary Martha and Fast Blood. Following praise from the likes of BBC 6Music's Steve Lamacq and Radio X's Ed Gamble, the band have shared the stage with bands such as Los Campesinos!, Gruff Rhys, and soon… Remember Sports!
Local support TBA!
