Hey stompers!
Dykeing Boots (@dykeingboots) is a community of queer people and allies based in Brighton and Hove.
For our final stomp of 2025 we will be heading back to Shoreham and stomping through fields, farmland & along the River Adur.
This stomp is 14.5km and will take around 4 hours - please only book a ticket if you can walk this distance at a steady pace.
Key Info :
- DISTANCE : 14.5 km
- ASCENT : 150m
- DURATION : 4 hours
- TERRAIN : mostly hiking pathways & some tarmac roads.
There is a very high possibility of messy muddy sections on this one!
Meeting Points :
We will be meeting at Brighton Station to get the train together to Shoreham together, with meeting points at both stations. Meeting times/exact locations will be shared with stompers approx 72 hours before the walk.
Meeting Point 1 : Brighton Station
Meeting Point 2 : Shoreham-By-Sea Station
General Info:
All are welcome on our walks and we do not tolerate any transphobia, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism or any similar shite
🍁 There will be a mid-point break - please bring a packed lunch or snacks, and lots of snacks & water.
🥾 As always, we cannot predict the British weather - please ensure you have appropriate and comfortable footwear and clothing for the stomp. As this stomp is river-side there is a good chance of MUD, so non-leaky soled shoes (ideally boots, or trainers you don't mind getting messy) are a must!
🐕 We cannot stress enough how much dogs ARE SO WELCOME however will note that this stomp takes place close to cliff edges so please do keep dogs on leads.
🎫 We operate on a pay what you feel basis. Please know your ticket is valid whatever you pay, including if you get a free ticket. If you can pay, the suggested donation is £3 - all of this money goes back into the running of Dykeing Boots and towards our travel support fund.
🚨If you need any support paying for your travel to and from the walk please message your bank details to Amelia (in the Whatsapp Group) or email dykeingboots@gmail.com and we will send you enough to cover it, no questions asked🚨
