A Night Down the Social Club Returns!
Untangle your tinsel, its time for our Working Mens Club Xmas Party!
Get on your best Saturday night festive togs and join us as London’s Best Regional Gay Bar celebrates the fabulousness of the working men’s and social clubs. We’re proudly modelled on these amazing community spaces — places that fostered solidarity, laughter, and camaraderie through times of struggle and joy. As these clubs, along with many LGBTQ+ spaces, continue to disappear, we’re paying homage to their enduring spirit and regional flair.
From 7pm – Step back in time with our archive footage of classic 70's Xmas TV
From 9pm – The live Star Turns begin, featuring:
- Dairy King is a milkman drag monstrosity. He has had the great surprise of touring all over the UK and now he is hitting the dizzy heights of Londons Best Regional Gay bar! Expect milk churns full of dairy themed chaos.
- Medusa Has Been – 1973 Knobbly Knees Winner, Beauty Pageant Finalist (2nd Place), and macramé plant holder maker (special mention). Come for the legs, stay for the tunes — no macramé outfits required.
- Barbara Barrel – bringing powerhouse vocals from Liverpools Port Sunlight to the tiny Triangle stage.
- The House Band are back performing their greatest hits so not too long a set!
- Carlos del Sol- with all the flair of a package holiday to Majorca this Spanish flamenco dancer will dazzle you with his dancing skills and toe tapping magic!
Your host for the evening is Dr Martin O’Brien, Burnley’s best bingo caller, with Daddy Wayne welcoming you at the door.
There’ll be party games, dancing, xmas tree, tip-top standard bar food — festive platters, crisps, and pickles — on every table, plus a few games of bingo throughout the night. Dabbers are available, unless you prefer to bring your own lucky one. All this included in your ticket.
Join us for a festive night down the social — full of nostalgia, class acts, star turns, top tunes, bar nibbles, solidarity, and bingo!
