Who are we fundraising for?
We are fundraising for two organisations leading recovery efforts in Jamaica from the recent Hurricane Melissa.
Transwave Jamaica: “a non-governmental organization working to advance the health, welfare, and well-being of the transgender community in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Founded in 2015, we started as an advocacy initiative in the form of a blog”.
Direct call for support: "OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU! Hurricane Melissa has devastated communities across Jamaica, and once again, trans and queer Jamaicans will be left behind. Many of our trans community members have lost their homes, belongings, and livelihoods, and are facing the storm’s aftermath without access to national relief efforts.
TransWave Jamaica is mobilizing to fill that gap. Your donations will help us provide emergency support to those displaced and at risk. Please support our efforts by donating via Rustin Fund or PayPal to help us meet urgent community needs."
Croydon BME Forum: “the umbrella organisation for Croydon’s Black and Minority Ethnic voluntary and community sector; engaging people, building capacity, and promoting equality and cohesion”.
Direct call for support: “The devastating hurricane that struck Jamaica has left families without homes, resources, and vital supplies. In this time of crisis, Croydon BME Forum is standing with the people of Jamaica coordinating local efforts, collecting donations, and bringing our community together to provide real, practical support.”
Don't miss out on this chance to dance, connect, and make a difference! Secure your ticket and be part of a night that celebrates Jamaican culture and love!
