POV you're on a cinema diet. You seenema and you eat it
Goldie Saloon presents. The first in a long & prosperous series of films with normal runtimes, exploring themes of cross-dressing, gender-bending, and all the sh*t that feels queer but wasn't necessarily considered to be that at the time of release.
The first event will be held on the 30th of November. That eve's film is Victor/Victoria, a Julie Andrews-fronted unit of cultural production (she pretends to be a boy and seduces girls you guys, idk what else to tell you. In many ways, Cate Blanchett has been reheating her nachos ever since).
Films we are considering screening in the future as part of the series are beautiful disasters such as White Chicks, Its a boy/girl thing, By Hook or By Crook, She's The Man, etc.
Equipped with 2 mid-of-the-range projectors, a soundsystem, and 3 negroni-making machines (called George, Sasha, and Maz), the night will run as follows:
- 7pm doors
- 7:30pm screening with mini MC pre-amble, god willing
- 9:45ish film ends
- 10pm - soma on the beat until close (dj)
Tickets are only £3 because we love you.
Address is:
