Come let the light in with Queer Yeshiva, we’re celebrating Hanukkah and you’re invited.
There will be havdalah, games, singing, dancing, community candle lighting, and a potluck full of delicious treats (sufganiyot highly encouraged!)
Ticket proceeds go back into Queer Yeshiva, helping us fund things like resources, and future events!

Event details
Location
We’ll be hosting the event in Finchley, the exact location will be emailed to you closer to the time. The venue is a 15 minute walk from a train station or a 5 minute walk from the closest bus stop.
Potluck
Hanukkah may have the best festival for food, what better way to enjoy it with a potluck. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share, there will be facilities to keep things cool or warm them up!
Event Schedule
4:30 PM – Doors Open & Welcome
Arrive, mingle, and settle in. Grab a drink, meet new friends, and get ready to celebrate!
5:00 PM – Havdalah Ceremony
Begin the evening with a beautiful Havdalah to mark the close of Shabbat and the start of our Hanukkah celebration.
5:30–7:00 PM – Games, Singing & Community Fun
Enjoy light games, sing-alongs, and spontaneous community moments. Move between activities as you like—this time is flexible!
7:00 PM – Community Candle Lighting
Gather together for a shared Hanukkah candle lighting, reflecting on light, community, and joy. Please bring your own hanukkiah and candles if you can!
7:30 PM – Potluck Dinner
Bring a vegetarian dish and share a meal with friends old and new. Sufganiyot are encouraged!
8:30–9:30 PM – Music, Mingling & Celebration
Continue connecting, dancing, singing, and enjoying the evening until we wrap up at 10 PM.
Access details
There is one 3 inch step to get into the house via the front door, and a small step to get into the back garden via the backdoor.
The event will all take place on the ground floor of the venue, there is a toilet available on the ground floor, however it is not wheelchair accessible.
There is a lot of seating available in the house, including sofas and chairs with arms.
