Plans changed? Let us know or cancel your ticket. No-shows aren’t sexy and stop others from joining. Repeat no-shows won’t get future bookings.
Step into a space designed entirely for FLINTA* folks - that’s Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, and Agender people. The asterisk honours the spectrum of lived experiences and expressions within these identities. ✨
This intimate 6-month series is facilitated by Ruby Rare - sex educator, author, workshop leader, and all-round queer joy catalyst. 💖
Across the six sessions, we’ll slow down, share space, and explore topics that shape our pleasure, relationships, identities, and communities. Expect deep dives, group reflections, gentle activities, and spacious conversations where you can bring your whole self. 🌿
Together, we’ll explore:
1. The Body as a Home for Pleasure 💫
Mapping desire gently and with care. We’ll think about how we communicate what we enjoy, how pleasure exists in a difficult political moment, and learn about the Wheel of Consent framework. Sharing is always optional - autonomy is central.
2. Dating 💘
A grounded look at the recent history of digital dating - how apps have shaped our expectations, why so many of us feel burnt out, and where dating might be headed. We’ll clarify what we want right now, tidy up our profiles, and share stories that deserve to be witnessed.
3. Gender Expression 🎭
A space to sit with our gender identities, presentations, and the politics around them. We’ll explore femme, masc, and everything beyond and in between, with honest conversation about stereotypes, femme-phobia, and how FLINTA* folks experience visibility in queer communities.
4. Shame 🕯️
A deep dive into generational and societal shame: how it shapes us, how it limits us, and how we can soften it. We’ll talk fantasies, self-permission, and what it means to befriend our shame rather than be ruled by it.
5. BDSM 🖤
Ruby shares her fisting zine and archival materials as we explore kink, legality, and how desire is shaped by culture. We’ll unpack what we call “hardcore” and why, and discuss how to approach erotic practices safely and intentionally.
6. Love 💌
We close the series with the biggest theme of all. What has love meant to us? What might it mean next? We’ll write love letters - to partners, friends, or ourselves - and explore philosophical ideas that stretch how we understand love as a force for personal and collective transformation.
Whether you’re coming to explore, unlearn, reconnect, or simply be held in community, the FLINTA* Salon is a space where your voice and your experiences matter. These sessions are crafted with intention, care, and joy - and we want you there with us. 🫶
Reserve your spot, show up for yourself, and join a room full of FLINTA* folks shaping new ways of loving, expressing, and belonging. 🌟
The tickets to the next sessions will be released 2 weeks before each date.
Spaces are limited, so book your ticket early - and if plans change, just cancel so someone else can take part. 💛
About our FREE events
💜 Our events are free to ensure they remain accessible to our communities. However, organizing them comes with costs. If you'd like to support our work, please consider donating via this link.
💜 To make sure as many people as possible can attend, we ask that you cancel your ticket if you can no longer make it. Failing to show up without prior cancellation takes a spot from someone else and wastes resources, including food and venue costs. We track attendance, and individuals who miss three events without cancelling will be unable to register for our future events. Please be considerate and let us know if you can’t attend.
💜 To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone, please arrive on time. Our events are not drop-in sessions, meaning attendees must arrive at the start time and stay for the duration. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals - after that, entry will not be permitted as it can be disruptive to the group. Additionally, the entrance is not monitored after the grace period, so there will be no one available to let latecomers in. The event hours are clearly stated in the description, so please plan accordingly. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a welcoming space for all!
💜 Alongside this, we appreciate it if you could respond to any communication by the given response deadline so we can make the necessary arrangements for the event.
💜 By signing up to this event, you accept being added to The Love Tank’s newsletter. You can opt out at any time.
