THIIIRDxBook28 Writing Workshop (Dis/Comfort)
Join us for THIIIRD’s first writing workshop on 13th December, from 2 pm till 5 pm at Book28 Library. Hosted by our founder, Rhona Ezuma, and joined by Dis/Comfort contributor Harper Walton, a writer, poet and essayist.
Inspired by Harper's Dis/Comfort essay 'Oranda: Seeing Trans Bodies in Sculpture', we'll explore how objects become vessels for memory and identity through guided writing exercises. Together, we'll dive into our relationship between the material world and our inner lives, how we project ourselves onto objects and how they both reflect and distort our truths. We ask that you bring an object or photo of an object that holds meaning for you, something that tells a story.
Open to writers at all levels. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Pens, paper, and some snacks will be provided. If you have any questions or accessibility requirements, please get in touch at book28.library@gmail.com.
Age restriction: N/A
