London is home to the largest older LGBTQ+ population in the UK, yet their housing needs and experiences continue to be widely overlooked. Recent research has highlighted clear inequalities from discrimination and a lack of inclusive housing options, to limited accessible information for those making later-life housing decisions.
This event invites participants to review early drafts of a new practical resource created through the Making Safe Choices project, a collaboration between academics, Tonic Housing, Stonewall Housing, policy makers and older LGBTQ+ Londoners. Attendees are encouraged to contribute their insights and help shape the final version, ensuring the guidance truly reflects the lived experiences and diverse needs of the community.
The session focuses on refining an accessible, inclusive tool that supports older LGBTQ+ people in navigating housing decisions with confidence and dignity. Your feedback helps ensure this resource is grounded in the voices that matter most.
