Liverpool Queer Collective's storytelling event Telling Tales is back
and this time the theme is Let’s Talk About Sex!
You’re invited to a special storytelling event where local people will share their stories from an LGBTQ+ perspective, on 30 August 2019 at The Bagelry, Liverpool.
In our hyper sexualised society, it seems there is more and more pressure on us in terms of sex. Either we aren’t having enough, we are considered too old or aren’t sexy enough to have it, we aren’t doing it right or we are having the wrong type of sex with the wrong people!
Expectations are often high but this event seeks to tell the real stories from real people having or not having sex.
Our hope is that by sharing our stories we can show solidarity and help each other to learn from our experiences.
This is conversational storytelling, the people speaking are ‘real people’ telling ‘real’ stories about their lives and the majority will not be professional speakers or performers.
You can buy food and drinks from the Bagelry from 6pm to 6:45pm and the event will take place from 7pm until 9pm.
The event will include musical entertainment from our house band The Ukuleighties.
Due to the nature of the theme attendees must be age 16+. The language in this event may be of a sexual nature, using terms that some might find offensive.
This event is a pay what you can. Liverpool Queer Collective does not receive funding to run these events and all of our work is led by volunteers. Please help us to continue our work by giving what you're able to. Thank you x
