The Other Ones are a noise-pop group formed out of a love for 90s' TV, curries, fuzz pedals and cats. They write songs about the perils of navigating modern relationships, unwanted attention from creepy guys and being cool with being alone.
Their odes to losers in life and love are contrasted by uplifting melodies, powerful guitars and tunes that will get lodged in your brain.
Their new EP is the first they've done since Francis joined the band, and really it showcases how far they've come as a group. Get Your Hands Off Me is our rallying cry against unwanted attention and people not respecting boundaries. Glittering Splinters is about the feeling of isolation and unease that creeps up on you in an unhealthy relationship, and Shallow Heart is about the aching melancholy of realising that loving somebody doesn't mean they love you back.
This EP shows off their expanding sound palette. Evidencing a band more comfortable recording, who are starting to stretch out more with the sounds they are using. Their new EP represents the breadth of what they can accomplish, with a fast punky song, a slower, more atmospheric song, and a gentle acoustic number.
We can't wait to hear this EP out in the world!

Nun Habit are Emma, Greg, Kate, Rachel and Selina - a London-based 5-piece playing fun, fuzzy garage pop. Formed in 2016, they've been gigging around the UK for the last couple of years, taking in the Edinburgh Fringe and Salford's Sounds from the Other City festival along the way, generally by train cause they can't all fit in Rachel's car and trains are nicer anyway. Earlier this year we they even got to play in the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall.
2018's debut EP 'NUN HABIT DIE HARD', recorded with Richard James, showcased our loud/soft, noise/melodic, semi-serious/bunch of goofs sides and was followed earlier this year by a set of three 3 minute demos under the name 'Rough as Toast'. They write songs about otters, online dating, STIs, hairbobbles, having eczema and poor workplace management practice and place a heavy emphasis on loud noises and having a good time.
