To celebrate, I, Jesse Lou Lawson, have written a jukebox musical using Dolly Parton songs.
On Sunday 18th January, I'm hosting a table read of said musical at The Roses of Elagbalus (temporarily renamed - The Roses of Elagappalachia in honour of Dolly's homeland, the Appalachian mountains).
ππ Please join us to celebrate our Lord and Saviour Dolly Parton! ππ
Doors at 4pm, 5pm start for the musical. The musical is 2 hours, including a 30 minute interval. The Roses of Elagappalachia is providing us a special bar, with wine, beer and cocktails (incl. alcohol free). I'll be providing everyone with lyric sheets, so you can sing along to your favourite songs.
This is also a fundraiser for D'am, who provide crucial material, financial and practical support to activists who are facing the brunt of state violence as a result of their solidarity actions with Palestine - it's what Dolly would want for her birthday.
