Hey hey stompers!
Dykeing Boots (@dykeingboots) is a community of dykes, queers and allies based in Brighton and Hove.
We're heading into our spiritual home, the South Down National Park, for our second stomp of the year.
This stomp is 8.5km and will take around 2.5 hours - please only book a ticket if you feel you can walk this distance at a relaxed but steady pace.
Key Info :
Meeting Point :
The meeting point for this stomp will be in Woodingdean and is accessible by a number of local buses from all over the place. We'll share the exact meeting point & (exact-ish) meeting time with stompers via email, 6 days before this stomp so you can plan your travel. Wherever you're coming from there's a very high probability you'll spot fellow stompers on the same bus!
General Info:
All are welcome on our walks and we do not tolerate any transphobia, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism or any similar shite
🍁 There'll be pauses for snacks & hydration en route (BYO snacks & drinks!)
🥾 As always, we cannot predict the British weather - please ensure you have appropriate and comfortable footwear and clothing for the stomp. This stomp takes in some of the South Downs National Park which can be quite exposed on windy days so extra layers are reccomended (also it's January… let's all wrap up!).
🍻 If you’d like to stick around after the stomp, we’ll head to a pub in Woodingdean *weather permitting
🐕 We cannot stress enough how much dogs ARE SO WELCOME!
💷 We operate on a pay what you feel basis. Please know your ticket is valid whatever you pay, including if you get a free ticket. If you can pay, the suggested donation is £3 - all of this money goes back into the running of Dykeing Boots and towards our travel support fund.
🎟️ We cap the number of tickets for our stomps to keep numbers manageable & social :
- If the stomp is sold out, add yourself to the waitlist!
- If you can no-longer attend, please use OutSavvy Resell (available up to 12 hours before the stomp) to give another stomper the opportunity to attend.
🚨If you need any support paying for your travel to and from the walk please message your bank details to Amelia (in the Whatsapp Group) or email dykeingboots@gmail.com and we will send you enough to cover it, no questions asked🚨
