In this workshop, you will learn everything you need to start your shibari journey including key tips and advice for a more ethical and safe(r) practice.
What you'll learn:
- The historical context and evolution of shibari
- Consent and negotiation
- Basic knots
- Flowing and manipulation with rope
- Rope safety
No prior knowledge or materials are required; we will provide ropes and all the materials you need for the workshop.
Ropes will also be available for sale upon request!

This workshop is for FLINTA people and allies.

🗓️ Date & Time: 3rd February 5:30pm - 10:30pm. Please be on time.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing for movement and sitting eg yoga / sport / dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and jeans
- Food to share with the group for dinner
- Ropes if you have any you want to bring - this is not necessary
Important information:
- Accessibility: Unfortunately the venue is not wheelchair accessible this time
- We have an anti abuse policy. Any discimination, hate speach, behaviour of opression will not be tolerated in any way.
- Ropes will be sold at the workshop for you to take home with you. A 6mm x 8m, treated vegan jute Rope (JBO free) costs £18.
Begginers package: x2 ropes plus x1 pair of safety sheers (worth £10) will be sold at £39
Please let us know if you plan on buying ropes before the workshop.
