Join writer, creative mentor and bookseller Aimee Ballinger for BLOOD, SHAME, PAIN AND ECSTACY: A Writing Workshop of Transgression with Aimee Ballinger. We will be exploring writing that itches, writing that oozes, writing that bleeds and cums and laughs-in-your-face while you cover your ears and eyes.
Attendees will be invited to immerse themselves in and respond to the writing and visual work of John Waters, Karen Finley, Gary Indiana, Charlotte Roche, Richard Kern and others. We will be looking at gross-out comedy, the cinema of transgression, bodily fluids, trash culture and sex.
No previous writing experience required. Bring yourself and something to write with.
Hot drinks and snacks provided.
