Make your very own custom T-shirt or patch with Alfie Laurence
Sunday 22 February
1.30 - 3.30 pm
Undercroft Gallery, Market Pl, Norwich NR2 1ND
Join multi-disciplinary artist Alfie Laurence as they teach you how to make your very own custom T-shirt or patch. Alfie will guide you through designing and creating a stencil, which you’ll then print onto fabric of your choice (either an item of clothing or a patch) using ink spray.
Never designed or printed on fabric before? No worries — Alfie will cover all the basics and provide pre-made stencils that can also be incorporated into your design.
Please bring a T-shirt or other item of clothing that you wish to print on. The item must be made from a light-coloured fabric, as we will be printing with black or dark blue ink. All other materials will be provided, including fabric for making patches if you don’t have an item of clothing.
Aprons and gloves will also be provided, but if possible, please also wear dark-coloured clothing or something you don’t mind getting stained if it comes into contact with the fabric ink.'
- It can be chilly in the venue, so please dress warmly (and appropriately to get a bit messy!)
- Wheelchair accessible via the left hand-side entrance door, though the ramp is steep, assistance will be available if needed. Right hand-side entrance has three steps leading to a different, less sloped ramp.
- There are accessible and gender neutral toilets in the nearby Forum
- Racism, transphobia, ableism, classism, queerphobia, fatphobia, misogyny and all other forms of bigotry will not be tolerated at our events. Please speak to the workshop leaders if you are made to feel uncomfortable at any point during our event, and we will be happy to assist you.
- Guide and assistance dogs welcome
