ÀTINÚDÁ is a Yoruba word meaning “From within we create”…
For us, this relates to creating from within ourselves as individuals, within our community, and within our wider ecosystem, towards our interconnected liberation. We believe in community-building, creativity and collective liberation.
We are grassroots organisers building a creative ecosystem for Black people of African, Caribbean, Mixed, and Indigenous heritage, in solidarity with the Global Majority.
We draw inspiration from radical Black and African traditions, expanding our imagination(s) of what is possible for us to collectively create.
Join the ATINUDA Community for a FREE Co-Working Day, and join us afterwards for a Film Screening or our new offering, The Mixed-Media Club (alternates fortnightly).
ATINUDA Film Screening
ATINUDA Film Screening is an evening where we watch a video together (movie, documentary or a video essay) and then discuss the content, themes and ideas presented. We will also reflect on these against our current context and backdrop of our day-to-day world.
This will be an in-person event, what is being watched will be shared with you a day-before the screening. We are super open to suggestions of what to watch from members - suggestions must speak to Black creativity, community-building, and/or collective liberation.
The upcoming Film Screening dates are:
- Friday March 13th
- Friday April 10th
Timings:
6:30 pm - 7 pm: Arrival and opening of the space
