Bona Nochy presents: Love Hurts
An Art Salon & Evening Revelry in Two Acts
Love Hurts is an immersive evening of visual art and live performance exploring the complexity, tenderness, and quiet fractures that can live inside love.
Curated by DJ Omen Kind, this inaugural Bona Nochy event brings together emerging visual artists and performers responding to the theme Love Hurts - an invitation to look beyond romance and into love as something that can hold, distort, protect, overwhelm, or wound.
Act I: The Art Salon (FLIRT, 7pm – 9pm)
Original artworks will be unveiled and exhibited alongside a silent auction. Each artist will have space to share insight into their process and practice, offering audiences a deeper connection to the work.
Act II: Afterdark (FIREBALL, from 9pm)
As the salon closes, the night shifts. We move to FIREBALL across the road, for a live programme of performances from local queer artists and allies. Expect burlesque, dance, aerial arts, cabaret, drag, vocal performance, and queer storytelling. Each act sits in dialogue with the others, creating a space where art, body, sound, and audience meet.
Love Hurts asks intimate and challenging questions:
Where does care become control?
When does devotion become a burden?
What remains after rupture - and what must be released to survive?
Bona Nochy marks the beginning of a new independent arts platform rooted in community, creativity, and care. Proceeds from the evening help sustain future grassroots arts activity and directly support the local artists involved.
Expect a night that is emotionally resonant, visually rich, playfully subversive, and unapologetically human.
