This Purim, we will come together to raise money, reclaim Jewish rituals and build anti-zionist Jewish communities. We will forge new bonds, dance to Klezmer music, eat traditional pastries and explore the contemporary lessons of Purim. Come strengthen our movement through fun, ritual and dancing as we sustain our traditions with solidarity and collective care.
As a community, we stand in solidarity with Palestinians who are facing ethnic cleansing and genocide. One of the many traditions of Purim is to give to charity and after covering event costs, ticket sales will go to Palestinian direct aid initiatives in Gaza through ToteFreedom. We are estimating that we will be donating around £1,500 to families in Gaza.
Please bring greggers or tambourines for the Megillah-reading and some food for the potluck (we will have some moussaka for everyone, so any hummus, dips and bread will be particularly welcome). We will send the address to ticket-holders. Please feel free to dress up :)
