Ostara Corn Weaving Workshop
Daddy Street Fox Returns!
Ostara Workshop
workshop 7pm -9pm and Bar Open!
Join Daddystreetfox at Triangle on March 20th (Ostara) to make two traditional corn dollies plaited and woven from straw.
First we will make a Welsh Border Fan, a decorative flat woven design often given as a home blessing to bring good fortune, happiness and protection. A historical design originating in the borders between Wales and England.
Then we will make a Glory Braid, a harvest token using the twelve straw diamond plait technique. Its broom shape is said to sweep away evil and it’s often hung in the home or at the end of church pews for protection and to welcome friendship.
Both designs can be decorated with ribbons & bowsThe bar at Triangle will be open during and after the evening workshop!
