March heralds the arrival of Spring. It brings forward new beginnings, new starts. Renewal. Even Rebirth. Spring shows us that there is life. Spring matters especially more so now as, patriarchy and it's allied systems of oppression, destroy world as we know it. Spring is about rebellion. It's about reclamation of Womanhood, it's dismantling the hierarchy of gender, and liberation from genders oppression. It is Revival, Reconstruction.
The Spring of Womanhood, falls on a very important month. It's Women's History Month, and most importantly 8th of March is International Women's Day.
A day to remind us to stand united , to show solidarity and uplift one another to liberate us from Patriarchy.
In a time where trans women's womanhood is being placed as subject matter of socio political dissection, where lives of trans women are in dire straits, this women's day is crucial. Of showing solidarity and showing up in ways that matters. Womanhood is community, care and nurture. Not an arbitrary hierarchy.
So come to Oestrogenesis: Women's Day Fundraiser Cabaret, where funds from the evening go to support trans women with their healthcare and their survival needs.
Oestrogenesis is a Fundraiser Cabaret that offers trans women a platform to perform, and help them raise funds for their survival and healthcare needs. A community space to support and uplift trans women.
Come to Stereo, on March 8th , 6:30 pm , and help support the dolls!!
As this a fundraiser for the dolls, the proceeds will be divided equally between the trans women performers and towards trans healthcare as March is also the month of Trans Visibility.
