Marios Ento-Engkolo: Dualism | BUZZCUT 2026
Dualism takes its name from the idea that most conditions are defined by two fundamental polarities; through this lens 'good' and 'evil' or 'soft' and 'hard' are viewed as equal and opposing forces in the world.
It translates the artist’s lifetime of navigating identity as a mixed-race, queer person in polarised Greece into a dance performance. Exploring feelings of living ‘in-between’ and the constant negotiation of opposing forces – Dualism is a vital act of reclaiming and articulating these often complex experiences, and hopes to resonate with those who face similar complexities of identity and duality.
Marios Ento-Engkol is an Afro-Mediterranean, queer, dance artist whose passion lies in storytelling and emotional expression through movement. His dance practice encompasses a wide variety of street dance styles, including Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and Dancehall, which form his foundation, as well as contemporary and experimental.
