Write to Roam
Write to Roam is a writing workshop woven into a hike. For this months hike we are heading to Ashridge Estate. We meet and gather at London Euston train station, before travelling together to the trail (the exact meeting spot at Euston will be emailed to you 48hrs before the hike). At the end of the day we will arrive back in Euston together before parting ways.Meeting Point: Euston Station
Time: 9:30am
Hike: Moderate
Train Departure: 9:39am-10:21am
We will be getting the 9:39am train from Euston to Tring (open-return). You must book your own train ticket for the 27th. We are hoping to be back by 5:30pm, but please note the end time is subject to change based on the pace of the group. Hikes take place once a month and the trails vary between easy, moderate and hard. Each month we take a different route, stopping to write 3 times along the hike. Write to Roam is a community event created to bring people together, in nature, whilst connecting with your creative self. The creative writing workshop consists of simple exercises, with no pressure to share you writing with the rest of the group. Anyone is welcome at Write to Roam, you do not have to work in a creative field to take part. All we ask is that you approach the day with optimism and kindness towards others. Keep an eye on the weather and please check the FAQ’s doc in the group info for details about lunch, loos, shoes, what to bring etc. If you have any questions, please email at commonground.ldn@gmail.comCommon Ground is a collective for creatives to connect, collaborate and workshop new writing. We do this by running a series of workshops, hikes, open-mics, scratch nights, book club, productions and R&D’s to bring people together. Please note, you can only attend Common Ground event after reading our code of conduct here.
