From Palestine to Iran and Venezuela, the politics of Empire remain present and insidious as ever. From ICE to British border enforcement, we know that state racism, border enforcement and imperialism have intimately linked histories. Come join us on March 17th as we ask:
The discussion will feature a panel talk, murmur and Q&A. Together, we'll discuss what strategies are going to be the most useful in resisting fascism, racism and Empire today.
After the meeting there will also be time to socialise over a free vegetarian meal.
Speakers:
Barnaby Raine: Is an English historian and activist. He is known for his left-wing and anti-imperialist political commentary.
Gargi Bhattacharyya: Is a British sociologist, author and trade union leader. Known for their work on race, gender and capitalism.
Annie Olaloku-Teriba: Is a writer, researcher and academic and an editor at Salvage Magazine.
Rosie Warren: Is a founding editor of Salvage and part of the Salvage Editorial Collective.
