✨ Let’s get together and make silly little crafts for our silly mental health ✨
Join us for a cosy, low-pressure crafty social where we’ll be making our own personalised jewellery charms, earrings, brooches for yourself or as a gift to a loved one.
No experience needed 🎨 we'll sort out the materials, you just gotta show up!
Drop in at any time from 6pm and we'll guide you to crafting your own little jewellery bits.
Let’s make stuff!! ⛓️ ✂️
This isn’t a workshop and there’s no expectation to be “good” at crafting. It’s a hang. A table full of supplies. A chance to make something small but meaningful while chatting, connecting, and sharing space with other queer folks.
About the silly little craft club
We’re two friends (Lara & Pat) who love nothing more than sitting around the kitchen table, chatting, unwinding, and doing silly little crafts for our silly mental health. It has become a small but joyful ritual, and we’d love to share that connection with more people.
We crave doing things with our hands, experimenting new techniques, without the pressure of making things perfect. We want to create a space where we’re able to fail and try again, surrounded by people who value the same things as us: creating more, and consuming less. For the sheer pleasure of making stuff. So we started a craft club! If this sounds like you, join us!!
We set up monthly sessions where we try new things together and we are building a little crafty community on Whatsapp where we share projects and stay in touch. Even if you can’t make this session you can join the group here!
✨ What to expect
We’ll bring all the materials like beads, charms, chains, tools and everything you need to make little things like earrings, keychains, carabiners and whatever trinket your heart desires. Expect a chilled evening in a safe, queer-affirming space where we can take a break from our screens, get our hands busy, chat with like-minded people, and make new connections along the way. Whether you’re making something that reflects your identity, your values, or just something cute, there’s space for it all.
And of course, you’ll take home all your creations at the end of the night 😊
Accessibility
Quoted from the venue's website FAQ's:
There is step free access from the street and entrance into the main space. Facing into the venue, the bar is on the left, with a small stage and toilets at the back. The space is filled with tables and chairs but may be cleared for events. Over half of the tables are accessible and are at a low height.
Access needs are being taken into consideration as we work to improve the space. We have menus in large print and can accommodate table service.
There is one accessible toilet (which disabled customers have priority use of) and 2 cubicles. All are on the ground floor and step free. We are a LGBTQ+ inclusive venue, our visitors are free to use whichever toilet they choose.
Strapped for Cash? We have added some Pay What You Can tickets so that we can make the event accessible to as much people as we can, regardless of financial status. If you would like to join but are strapped for cash, just message us on IG! We're more than happy to have you :)
