La Monocle is South London's Lesbian & FLINTA Bar, hosting a multitude of events at venues across South London to fundraise for a permanent bar space for South London's FLINTA Community.
This event, on the 11th April, is one of many events we host each month. The event is meant to emulate a bar space of our own.
We will also have a second evening this month on the 25th April at Bermonds Locke in Bermondsey. See you there ;)
Join us on April 11th as La Monocle opens its doors from 7pm–midnight.
- Early birds: £7
- General: £8
Limited OTD tickets after sellout will be £9.
Optional donations via Outsavvy to support future pop-ups, and the opening of our bar.
📍 At Little Louie, 14 Ash Ave.
Doors open at 7pm, limited tickets available OTD after sell-out.
If you've purchased a ticket and don't arrive by 10:30pm, we start final entries which prioritise on-the-door tickets. If you've bought a ticket and can't come, please re-sell your ticket via Outsavvy's resale platform. Ticket resale will open as soon as the event sells out. No tickets or OTD's will be allowed in after 11pm. This is our cutoff time.
We will have optional donations to support La Monocle throughout the night: just talk to one of our friendly door staff, or use the optional donation section here.
If you haven't been before, we have check-ins to the left of the entrance to the venue! Our team will check you in via the scannable tickets from Outsavvy, so please have them ready. You'll just need the name the ticket is booked under.
✶ On-Demand Live Screenprinting ✶
We will have live, on-demand screenprinting at this event: just like we did on the 6th and 7th March.
This means our merch is:
- Affordable
- Fully customisable
- Environmentally and waste-conscious
We print using water-based inks, with red, black, and white available until sell out.
We can print on almost any textile (except nylon). Some fabrics cannot be heat-set, but we’ll be able to let you know this at the point of printing.
Bring your own garments or choose from what we have available on the night, and leave with something uniquely yours ✶
About La Monocle
La Monocle is a South London–based Lesbian & FLINTA* pop-up bar inspired by the historic Le Monocle of 1920s Paris. Rooted in queer history and community-building, La Monocle exists to create joyful, affirming, and culturally rich spaces for the Lesbian and FLINTA community in South London.
La Monocle is entirely volunteer-run, with our team dedicating their time, labour, and skills to building La Monocle into a permanent venue. Our mission for now is to take over non-queer venues and transform them into spaces for us: creating temporary havens of Lesbian & FLINTA nightlife across South London. Each pop-up reclaims space, builds visibility, and directly funds a permanent community café by day and bar by night.
All profits from our events are reinvested into securing this permanent home, a dedicated space where people can gather, work, host events, create, and socialise within a FLINTA-centred environment.
You can support La Monocle by attending events, donating via our ticket pages, contributing through our Ko-fi on our Linktree, or privately requesting larger donation amounts or investment opportunities by emailing contact@lamonocle.co.uk.
From March, La Monocle will also launch print-on-demand merchandise to reduce waste while allowing you to customise almost anything suitable for screen printing, with all profits going directly toward securing our permanent space.
By supporting La Monocle, you are helping to build a lasting, community-rooted venue for Lesbian & FLINTA people in South London.
REFUND POLICY & EVENT INFORMATION
La Monocle is a volunteer-run fundraising event. Ticket sales go directly toward covering venue hire, performers, and production costs.
Because of this, tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.
Please note:
• Bar service and staffing are operated by the venue, not the La Monocle team, so we are unable to control bar wait times or service speed.
• Venue capacity and facilities (including toilets) are set and managed by the venue. We adhere strictly to the capacity limits provided to us.
• La Monocle is an open and inclusive community event. The crowd and atmosphere may vary from night to night and we welcome attendees of all backgrounds and ages.
• Music programming, volume levels, and performances are curated for the space and may differ from traditional club nights.
By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that the event is independently organised and volunteer-run.
If you have any questions regarding the event, please contact: contact@lamonocle.co.uk
