Craft & Community for Queer Writers
These monthly online workshops offer a safe space for giving and receiving feedback on works-in-progress across any and all kinds of writing. We have script writers, poets, short story scribblers and memoirists among us.
- The group is queer and trans centring, but allies are welcome (zero tolerance for bigotry)
- Sessions take place on MS Teams. You'll receive the meeting link a few days in advance
- Sessions include 3 bookable workshop slots of 20 minutes each, reading time, plus time for general supportive writing chitchat
- You can claim a feedback slot when booking (Admission + Feedback Slot ticket) or by messaging facilitator Rach using the ‘Contact Organiser’ button (availability allowing)
- If you claim a feedback slot, you'll be prompted to share your piece at the start of the session (max 2000 words). If there are still slots available, they'll be offered at this point too
- During their slot, each submitter will read their piece (or an extract if it's longer than ~500 words), before receiving kudos, praise and encouraging and constructive feedback from the group. You'll have a chance to indicate if there's any specific kind of feedback you're looking for, and you can ask someone else to read your piece aloud on your behalf if you like
- Feel free to come along to offer feedback to others (General Admission ticket) to see how it works!
