BONA NOCHY presents “tOO SeNSitiVe” will be an immersive evening of visual art and live performance exploring sensitivity as strength - perception as depth. What do we mean when we say someone feels too much? And what if, instead of fragility, we're witnessing a heightened attunement - a finer lens on the world? A different level of… magnification?
Curated by DJ Omen Kind, this second Bona Nochy gathering brings together visual artists and performers responding to “tOO SeNSitiVe” - an invitation to reframe sensitivity as skill, insight, and connection. Inspired by Alan Watts’ reflection on the “different levels of magnification” through which we each see the world, the evening celebrates nuance, empathy, and the art of paying close attention.
Act I: The Art Salon (FLIRT, 7pm – 9pm)
Original artworks will be unveiled and exhibited alongside a silent auction. Each artist will share glimpses of their process and perception - tracing how feeling deeply can sharpen how we see, listen, and create.
Act II: Afterdark (FIREBALL, from 9pm)
As the salon closes, the night shifts. We cross to FIREBALL for a live programme of performance from local queer artists and allies (TBC) - burlesque, movement, cabaret, music, drag, and spoken word. Each act opens another channel of feeling, turning sensitivity into rhythm, body, and sound.
"tOO SeNSitiVe" asks tender and provocative questions:
– When did feeling become a flaw?
– How do we learn to meet in the middle, where difference becomes dialogue?
– What might change if we treated sensitivity as an art form?
Bona Nochy continues as a home for independent, community-rooted creativity - a space for artists and audiences who want to feel more, not less. Proceeds from the evening sustain future grassroots arts activity and directly support local artists as no comission is taken from winning bids.
Expect a night that is intimate, thoughtful, luminous, and defiantly alive.
