This will be a refreshing Spring Foraging Walk for the lgbtq+ community and allies, hosted by outdoors instructors, Marwen and Felix! We will guide the group through a gentle loop around Queens Park, harvesting a variety of seasonal and sensory treats. This will include wild herbs, edible flowers, and freshly tapped Birch water, using sustainable foraging methods. Our meeting point to start both sessions will be at the gates of the Victoria Road Entrance.
Outdoor wear: Put on your wellies, boots, jumpers, and waterproofs for frolicking in the Scottish Spring weather!
We will host 2 foraging walks over the weekend
SATURDAY: the first one will be a slightly smaller group (up to 14 people), which has a fairly short trail completed within 1 hour. This will be catered more to access needs, following a step-free tarmac pathway, for disabled folks, or anyone who finds it easier to be in smaller groups. (We will send out a rough idea of the route the day before).
SUNDAY: This will be a larger group (up to 20 people), that will explore terrain with some steps, muddy areas off the path, and will consist of a slightly longer trail completed within 1.5 hours.
All Proceeds will go towards supporting gender-affirming healthcare for Black and Indigenous Trans folx <3
