What does WATER mean to you? How do you FEEL about it? Is there a body of water that evokes strong emotions for you? Perhaps you might compare aspects of migration, friendships, relationships and existence to the fluidity and potential of water.... WEATHER you choose to explore climate change, sensory aspects of water, ideas around home, family, childhood trips etc, you're welcome to EXPLORE your thoughts and feelings about water.
No experience necessary. WELCOME to write in any language/ draw/ collage. Most materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite pen/s and notebook or sketchbook. IF YOU LIKE, bring a memory/ies, thought/s and/or a story/ies about water you'd like to explore - however you'll be given some inspiration and generative prompts as well. Share and appreciate each others' perspectives, and CREATE an A6 zine to take home with you.
You'll be given water themed prompts and shown how to fold a zine. Choose to write, draw, collage (or combine these) to make your zine. You're welcome to share your work (optional!)
Materials provided. You're welcome to bring your own sketchbook/paper and pen/s.
This workshop will be in English. During small group discussion, participants who speak the same language are welcome to do so. Feel free to create your zine in any language.

About the artist:
The Mollusc Dimension is a diasporic, British Chinese, trans, non binary multidisciplinary artist who enjoys running creative workshops. His colourful comic memoir "The Weird & Wonderful Surviveries of Squid Horse" (2024) was shortlisted by The Selfie Awards for non-fiction. Arts Council England supported his book, and also his music project "Asians Have Feelings Too" (2022). TMD is the pianist for London Trans Choir.
